In 2000, he won the Portrait Prize in the annual exhibition of the South Wales Art Society at Turner House, Penarth. The previous year, he won overall First Prize together with best acrylic, best portrait and best still life.
In addition he was chosen as the public's choice in both the 1999 and 2000 Christmas Art Exhibitions at St David's Hall, Cardiff, which is part of Cardiff County Council
He is a painting demonstrator for major art material suppliers e.g. Winsor & Newton, and regularly provides painting demonstrations to Art Societies throughout South Wales and Southern England.
He now runs weekly painting courses and specialised weekends in the Cardiff area and residential courses in Wiltshire, and has run a number of courses in Portugal.
Residential courses are held at Urchfont Manor, near Devizes, Wiltshire, and West Norfolk Arts Centre, Castle Rising, Norfolk.
Every year, he is demonstrating watercolour in the Creativ Exhibition in Zurich, Switzerland.
He has written two books on watercolour published by Search Press Ltd, one of which has also been translated into Italian and Dutch They are sold worldwide. A new book on acrylics is being published in January 2006 Four Videos/DVDs have also been produce on his techiques in Watercolour and acrylics . All are for sale here.
The subjects of his paintings vary from landscapes to still life, portraiture, abstracts etc.
The priority in his work is good shapes and design combined with a feeling for the subject utilising both both light and colour.
Currently, he is an Professional Associate of the Society of All Artists.
He was Chairman of the South Wales Art Society from 1999 - 2002.
In his "spare time", he enjoys his computer and jazz music.
